Natural oils for intensive moisture
Coconut and olive oil are real helpers for dry feet. They provide deep hydration and also have mild antimicrobial effects, which reduces the risk of infection. Gently massage the oil into the skin in the evening and let it absorb overnight.
Moisturising olive oil foot bath
Prepare a foot bath with lukewarm water and two tablespoons of olive oil. Soak your feet for about 15 minutes, dry them thoroughly afterwards and apply a cream. This will make dry skin soft and supple.
Honey-banana care mask
Puree two very ripe bananas and mix them with a tablespoon of honey. Apply the mixture generously to your feet, leave it on for about 15 minutes and then rinse your feet with warm water. Honey and banana nourish and care for dry skin especially effectively.
Vinegar foot bath for skin regeneration
A foot bath with diluted apple cider vinegar (mixed 1:3 with water) can soften the skin, help loosen calluses and stabilise the skin environment. It has a mild antibacterial effect and helps to care for feet gently.
Gentle foot exfoliation
Remove dead skin cells regularly with a gentle scrub or a pumice stone. This activates skin renewal and ensures that care products are absorbed better. Afterwards, be sure to moisturise your feet thoroughly.
Lukewarm water for washing
Shower or bathe your feet only with lukewarm water. Hot water increases dryness as it strips moisture from the skin. Use mild soaps or shower oils that preserve the skin's natural protective layer.
Regular care with urea
Crems containing urea retain moisture and help the skin regenerate. Apply the cream especially in the evening to clean feet so it can exert its full effect overnight.
Breathable shoes and barefoot walking
Leather or fabric shoes provide good ventilation and prevent excessive sweating. To support the skin's natural breathing and to help prevent fungal infections, let your feet go barefoot as often as possible.
Wool socks to protect against the cold
In cold seasons, wear wool socks to protect your feet from drying out and from cold damage. They keep the skin warm and support moisture balance.
Shoes that are too tight or too loose can cause pressure points that dry out and damage the skin. Make sure your shoes fit well and promote good circulation in your feet.
