Use cloudy, unpasteurised apple cider vinegar
Choose unpasteurised, cloudy apple cider vinegar. Only in this state are the mother, enzymes and minerals active, making the product particularly lively and ensuring its high quality.
Always dilute apple cider vinegar
To protect the mucous membranes in the digestive tract, apple cider vinegar should never be taken undiluted. A traditional and proven method is to take one to two teaspoons in a glass of water about 15 minutes before meals.
Soften the taste
If you dislike the sharp taste, you can refine apple cider vinegar with half a teaspoon of honey. This keeps the drink pleasant and easy to tolerate.
Include apple cider vinegar in dishes
Apple cider vinegar is excellent as an ingredient for salads, soups or smoothies. Even a small amount can improve the acid balance and round off the flavour of dishes.
Mind oral and dental care
After consuming apple cider vinegar, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. Do not brush your teeth immediately afterwards, as the acid could attack tooth enamel.
Apple cider vinegar as a gentle facial tonic
Mix one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with a cup of cold water and soak a cotton pad with it. Gently rub the face and neck before continuing your usual skincare routine.
Hair care with apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is suitable as a rinse for quickly greasy hair, dry scalp or dandruff. Mix one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with a cup of water. Pour the mixture over your hair after washing, leave it on briefly and then rinse with clear water.
Foot bath with apple cider vinegar
To prepare a refreshing foot bath, first add one cup of apple cider vinegar and half a cup of salt to a litre of warm water. Soak your feet for five to ten minutes. Repeat the process if needed twice daily. This can reduce unpleasant odours and increase comfort.
Apple cider vinegar as a dietary supplement
If you do not want to drink apple cider vinegar neat, you can opt for capsules or powders. Many products also contain apple pectin, apple fibres or vitamins such as B1, B2, B6, C, folic acid or biotin, making the supplement more versatile.
Applied undiluted, apple cider vinegar can relieve itching, for example after mosquito or wasp stings. Apply it sparingly to the affected area to avoid irritating the skin unnecessarily.
