Hydrocoll® is a self-adhesive, absorbent hydrocolloid dressing specifically designed for the treatment of moist wounds. The dressing consists of a vapor-permeable yet germ- and waterproof polyurethane film that maintains a moist environment. Upon contact with wound exudate, a gel forms that promotes granulation and epithelialization of wounds. This is particularly advantageous for chronic wounds where healing is often complicated.

Application

For application, gently place the dressing over the wound and press it down lightly. The dressing can be changed as needed, usually every 3 to 7 days, depending on the amount of exudate. The wound should be cleaned before applying the dressing.
